Our Senior partner has over 26 years’ experience and heads our Litigation Team. Rachel specialises in Public Child Care Law and Private Law Children’s Proceedings devoting 100% of her time to this area of the law. She is a long-serving member of The Law Society's Children Law Accreditation Scheme (Children's Panel), qualified to represent both children and adults.
Alex is our Second Partner and the Crime Supervisor within the Firm. He concentrates on assisting clients who are in trouble with the Police or who are facing Prosecution by other agencies such as the Department for Work and Pensions, Local Authority or other Government Regulatory Bodies. He is qualified as a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme and has been practicing Criminal Law for over 25 years. He spends the majority of his time in either the Police Station, Magistrates' Court or The Crown Court. Whilst Crime takes up 60% of Alex's work, the other 40% is spent assisting the firms very busy Conveyancing Department where he deals with Residential sales and purchases. Alex is friendly, approachable and very useful person to know.
Teresa Blenard is our Third Partner and a Chartered Legal Executive. She specialises in Probate, Elderly Care, Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) and all aspects of buying or selling a property. Teresa has 20 years experience in conveyancing and probate and has been qualified for 10 years. She spends 50% of her time on conveyancing and 50% on probate and private client work. She deals with new build shared ownership properties as well as general freehold and leasehold sale and purchase transactions.
She is competent, efficient and an extremely friendly person and will be happy to assist with any of your needs.
Maria qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2004 and has been dealing with residential conveyancing matters since 2003. For her, every client and every transaction is unique and she enjoys the challenge of resolving tricky problems that are often encountered in conveyancing in Cornwall. She is friendly and approachable and as a qualified teacher, also has the ability to explain complicated legal matters in straightforward and simple language.
Maria’s usual office hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, except for one half day each week when she teaches in the higher education sector at a local college.
Sarah Painter is a Solicitor with over 30 years experience in the law and specialises in Probate, Elderly Care, Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), Long Term Care Issues, Tax, Trusts as 50% of her caseload and all aspects of Buying or Selling a property as the remaining 50% She is also a Dementia Friend as part of an initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society in that she has undergone specialist training to become a dementia specialist.

Samantha is one of our family solicitors. Samantha qualified in 2007 and joined our team in 2012. Samantha provides advice and assistance in relation to all types of family matters including, divorce, resolution of financial matters, co-habitee disputes and cases involving the local authority and social services. Samantha is a friendly and approachable member of our team. She is also a member of The Law Society's Children Law Accreditation Scheme (Children's Panel)
Charles is a valuable member of our Criminal team who has practiced in Criminal Law since he qualified as a solicitor in 2004. He is a member of Duty Solicitor Scheme and is happy to assist at the Police Station, the Magistrates' Court or the Crown Court.
Charles was also the youngest President of the Cornwall Law Society.

Helen Lawer is a solicitor with over 20 years’ post qualification experience in matrimonial and family law. She advises and represents clients in relation to divorce and civil partnership dissolution and the related financial matters, cohabitation disputes, issues and proceedings concerning children, cases involving Social Services, and domestic abuse.
She offers a professional but friendly approach and is a member of Resolution, which is an organisation who promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to resolving family problems.
Elouise Gregor is a Solicitor with extensive experience in Residential Conveyancing and Private Client practice.
Elouise specialises in all aspects
of buying, selling, transferring and re-mortgaging property. She also deals
with new build property, first registration applications, adverse possession
applications and some commercial property transactions.
Although Elouise mainly deals with property transactions she also deals with Private Client matters such as obtaining Grants of Probate, administering estates, drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Rubina Jenkin- Trainee Licensed Conveyancer
Rubina works within our Conveyancing Department and has been working within the Conveyancing Industry for over four years.
Rubina started her career in 2014 studying CILEX and has recently joined the firm to continue her studies through The Council of Licensed Conveyancers.
Rubina’s specialist areas include remortgaging and sales and purchases of Freehold Property.
Rubina is very friendly and approachable and strives for client satisfaction.
