STEPHEN RUTHERFORD
Our Senior Partner who also heads up our litigation team. He has a wide range of experience in contentious work and for over a decade has sat as a Deputy District Judge. He is a long serving member of The Law Society’s Children’s Panel as well as The Family Panel. He has for many years been a member of The Solicitor’s Family Law Association now known as Resolution First.
If you have a problem, bring it to him-he has probably come across and resolved a similar one before.
When not litigating he enjoys mountain walking, cycling and sailing.
ROBERT COPE
Our second partner deals mainly with probate and associated taxation matters and conveyancing.
He is the man to see if you are buying or selling your property, if you want to make a will, if you have been bereaved or have queries regarding trusts or tax planning. In short, if your affairs need putting in order make an appointment with him.
When not in the office you will find him on the golf course.
RACHEL WILES
Our third partner with a reputation for family and child care work. She too is a member of the Law Society’s Children and Family Panels. These are areas requiring sensitivity and toughness-qualities that she has in abundance.
She spends her non-working time bringing up her own family and is a keen football supporter.
ALEX BLAIR
Alex is our fourth partner and concentrates on assisting clients who are in trouble with the police. He qualified as a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme some years ago and now spends the majority of his time in the magistrates and crown courts and at the police station. He also deals with civil litigation. He is friendly and approachable and a very useful person to know.
When not defending clients he rides a quad bike!
MARIA MASI
Maria is an important member of our residential conveyancing team. She enjoys working at a fast pace and rises to the challenge of meeting the urgent needs of clients. For her, every client and every transaction is unique and she prides herself on the personal service that she provides. She is friendly, approachable and has the ability to explain complicated legal matters in straightforward and simple language.
When not ensuring that house sales and purchases are completed with minimum of fuss you will find her enjoying an outdoor and sporting life with her young and active family
VICTORIA
WALTERS
Our Solicitor with a penchant for Family work and already a growing reputation for assisting clients with domestic violence problems. Victoria works with the partners as part of the Family law team but has her own style. She is level headed, attentive to the problems of clients and approachable.

ADAM HALE
Our newly qualified solicitor who concentrates his energies on
property, probate and private clients. You may well have met him
already if you have recently had a will or power of attorney
prepared or been involved in a property transaction.
A former British champion wind surfer he is still to be found on
the water, in his spare time, be it windsurfing or sailing but
his feet are certainly on the ground in the office.
JULIET KNOWLES
A rising star in the property world! Conveyancing is her speciality. Sound in knowledge, competent and efficient, she is someone to rely upon during your property transaction. Ask her for a quote.
Juliet is also an accomplished marathon runner when not
chasing around after client’s affairs.
CLAIRE MOYLE
Claire is a valuable member of our family team who qualified
as a solicitor in 1999. She is a member of Resolution and the
Law Society's Family Panel. Claire has built up a
reputation within the legal profession for her ability to tackle
any family problem with sensitivity and skill. Her friendly
approachable manner immediately puts clients at ease. They feel
reassured that their matter could not be in better hands!
In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and spending time with
her young family.

ALAN BUTTERFIELD
Our Consultant, previously Senior Partner, deals with a wide
variety of commercial and tax work as well as conveyancing and
property related matters. Alan is a Past President of the
Cornwall Law Society and also of the Association of South Western
Law Societies. He is an active member of the community and is
currently chairman of the Camborne Regeneration Forum
In his spare time, of which there is little, he enjoys music and
sailing.
